Privacy & cookie policy
What the browser remembers.
This version of the application does not set cookies. It uses
localStorage, a browser storage mechanism, for the
choices below. Browser-storage choices matter even when no cookie
is involved.

Until you allow preferences, new settings stay in the current page session. Before a privacy decision is recorded, choices saved by an older version are moved into the current page session and removed from persistent storage unless preferences are allowed. Browser controls may block storage; the garden remains usable for that visit.
Local storage has no automatic expiration. The app checks the decision when a page opens and clears expired records then. Records can remain in the browser until that check or until you clear site data.
Your choice stays yours.
Only essential keeps the privacy decision and removes the two optional stored preferences. Sound and exploration still work for the current visit. Allow preferences lets those choices remain on this device.
You can change your choice here, in the garden’s settings, or in any page footer. Withdrawing permission clears optional application storage; it does not interrupt the sound or observation you already chose for the current visit. You can also clear site data through your browser.
Change cookie & storage settingsThere are no analytics or advertising storage categories to enable. Your browser may separately cache images, fonts, and scripts to load the site efficiently.
A website still makes requests.
Loading the site sends ordinary requests to its hosting infrastructure, currently Vercel. Those requests can include your IP address, browser information, requested URL, and referrer. Hosting providers may process technical or security logs under their own policies.
The application does not add visitor analytics or send a separate behavior stream. This statement does not mean that hosting infrastructure receives no connection data. Hosting retention and processing are governed by the provider and the operator’s hosting configuration. See Vercel’s privacy policy .
Plant and terrain images, fonts, code, and synthesized audio resources are served with the application. The app does not load remote font services, advertising pixels, social embeds, or a third-party consent platform.
Your questions stay in the garden.
Optional predictions, scientific comparisons, simulation histories, camera movement, and animal observations remain in the current browser session. The application does not upload or save them to an account or server. Reloading or resetting discards session state as described by the controls.
This site has no contact form, payment flow, or user account. Please avoid entering personal or sensitive information into optional prediction fields.
When you follow a source.
Scientific references and other external links open services with their own privacy policies. A request to an external site occurs when you follow its link. Reference material is not embedded as a tracking frame in the garden.
